Bob – Operations Manager and Master Butcher
Being a butcher runs in his family, and he has been one since his father started him in a grocery store at the age of 16. His 40 year career in retail food service includes experience in produce, grocery and as a meat manager in major grocery outlets until breaking out to become one of our founding partners in Second To None Meats in 2004, along with TOM and PAUL FROEHLER
Tom – Business Manager.
He has 25 plus years in the food industry including being one of our founding partners in 2004.
Shane is a butcher and 4th generation foodie.
His grandfather made a name in Calgary with Al’s Delicatessen in the 1950’s and first gave Shane the love of food. Joining his father TOM in the family’s food service business 15 years ago, he has become very passionate about the growing interest in natural and organic foods. He can now be found running the smokehouse or behind the counter of either Second To None Meats store, often talking a lot about new food ideas.
“CHEF ERIC” is our in house chef & butcher.
A 13 year veteran of Toronto’s fine dining scene, he came to Calgary to pursue a love of the mountains. Joining Second To None Meats Mission location after stints at Calgary’s Wildwood and Mercado, he brings a wealth of knowledge and is always willing to give out little tricks of the trade to help everyone feel the joy of cooking or create the perfect meal.
LEO is our veteran sausage maker.
Owner of Dominion Meats since 1968, he has more than 55 years in the meat business in Calgary. Retiring Dominion in 2008, he brought his smokehouse to Second To None Meats and still comes in a few days a week to make his signature sausages.
